Job summary

EPS is seeking a Field Technician III to lead field crews, execute advanced testing and maintenance, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment. The role provides technical leadership, ensures safety compliance, and supports engineers during commissioning and critical field operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in the electrical industry, NETA III certification, and a proven ability to mentor others while maintaining rigorous safety standards and high-quality field documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Associate in Electrical/Electronic Tech or Military experience preferred.
• 5+ years in the electrical industry with field experience.
• NETA III Certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead field testing and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics on breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
• Triage and troubleshoot complex electrical/control-system issues from schematics.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers and project managers.
• Mentor junior technicians and enforce safety and quality standards.
