Job summary

Motor Coach Industries, a leader in North American motor coaches, seeks a Technical Solutions Manager to deliver advanced diagnostics and field service to customers across the Western US. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Warranty, Parts, and Service teams to diagnose issues and guide repairs from on-site locations or remotely.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; completion of heavy-duty/automotive/diesel training preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, or repairing motor coaches or heavy vehicles; asset if supporting MCI or similar products.
• Strong experience troubleshooting electrical and multiplex controls, wiring, sensors, and vehicle networks; experience with CAT, Cummins INSITE, ZF, and Allison is an asset.
• Solid knowledge of powertrain systems and engine/transmission diagnostics; experience with major OEM diagnostic tools is a plus.
• Experience with vehicle braking, ABS, traction-control systems; mobile HVAC knowledge and EPA/HVAC certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote advanced technical support to customers to diagnose and resolve coach service, maintenance, and operating issues.
• Travel extensively to customer sites for hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair support, and issue resolution.
• Diagnose complex issues across electrical, powertrain, HVAC, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Guide customer technicians through diagnostics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, fault codes, and repair procedures.
• Use OEM and supplier tools and documentation to identify root causes and support repairs.
• Determine when remote resolution is possible and when on-site engineering or parts support is required.
• Support new-coach introductions and field modifications; document findings for improvement.
