Job summary

EPS (Electric Power Systems) is seeking a Field Technician III to lead field crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance of high, medium and low voltage equipment, and support engineers during commissioning.

The role requires safety leadership, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to coordinate daily field activities while mentoring junior techs. Travel and overtime are common in this role.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen for safety sensitive role.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Willingness to overtime and travel out of town as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews, execute advanced testing and maintenance of HV/MV/LV equipment.
• Perform diagnostics on breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, batteries and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/control issues from schematics and diagrams.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers, PMs and other crews; mentor junior technicians.
