Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician III to lead field crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment. The role emphasizes safety compliance and collaboration with engineers and project teams during commissioning and critical field operations.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in testing high/low voltage equipment, problem solving, and strong communication skills, with a willingness to travel for project needs.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required for safety sensitive position.
• Criminal background check required.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce proper PPE usage.
• Lead field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics and diagrams.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance activities to restore equipment functionality.
• Support installation and commissioning activities, including functional testing.
• Review and ensure accuracy of field documentation and discrepancy tracking.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers and project managers for efficient execution.
• Mentor and train junior technicians with technical guidance.
