Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment. The role provides technical leadership and ensures safety compliance while supporting engineers during commissioning and critical field operations.

You will mentor junior technicians, coordinate daily field activities, and travel as required for projects and outages, contributing to safe, reliable power system operations across

Qualifications

Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
Must be able to travel and work overtime.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or military experience preferred.
NETA III Certification required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead safety briefings and enforce PPE usage.
Coordinate field activities with engineers and crews.
Perform testing and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues from schematics.
Direct repair, replacement and maintenance to restore equipment function.
Support installation and commissioning activities and functional testing.
Review field documentation and discrepancy tracking.
Mentor junior technicians and promote best practices.
