Job summary

ECS Limited in Mobile, AL is seeking a Senior Field Technician to join our team. You will perform field testing and inspections on soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel, under supervision from senior staff and project managers.

Applicants should have 2+ years of related experience, a High School diploma or GED, and be willing to maintain basic and advanced certifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites – Mileage will be reimbursed.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials at construction sites with guidance from senior technicians and project managers.
• Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel using industry standards.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction; prepare field reports documenting site observations.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project teams; attend project meetings as requested.
• Training: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing.
