Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Austin is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Senior Field Technician to join our field services team. You will perform observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placements on construction sites under guidance from senior staff.

The role emphasizes safe practices, data collection, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have and be willing to maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites.
• Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field tests following industry standards and testing equipment.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and document site observations in field reports.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
