Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Tech/Sr. Field Techs to test, troubleshoot, and repair high voltage equipment at customer sites across the United States. The role requires strong communication, project management, and safety compliance, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians and lead field projects.

The position involves site work, shop duties when not on site, and potential out-of-town travel. A valid driver’s license is required, and the Transformer Services Division may value CDL

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industry standards (NETA, OSHA, IEEE, NFPA).
• Proven mechanical skills with low/high voltage equipment; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, maintain, redesign, rebuild, retrofit, and repair electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, breakers).
• Perform electrical/fluid testing and quality control, complete test reports per standards.
• Demonstrate improvement of operations and timely communication with management and customers.
• Maintain client relationships, prepare project estimates, and assist in negotiating extra charges.
• Travel to customer sites; work flexible hours, including weekends and nights as needed.
