Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Construction Survey Lead. You will supervise survey operations, verify control points, and coordinate with Field Engineering and Supervision to ensure accurate layout of construction work.

The role requires multi-discipline field engineering experience across earthwork, concrete, steel, and piping. Responsibilities include data development, CAD drawings, DTMs, and volumes computations, with preparation of as-built records.

Qualifications

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the Project Lead Surveyor (PLS) and assume PLS duties during their absence.
Assist the PLS with oversight of all survey operations and the integrity of the surveying program.
Provide technical direction to survey crews, including verification of control points and work in accordance with project procedures.
Oversee survey data development, calibration checks, and administration of the survey work request program.
Prepare survey CAD drawings and generate Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and volume computations.
