Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Project Field Engineer in Port Arthur, Texas. You'll provide engineering support including work planning, material management, and coordination of safety and quality control. The role involves preparation of construction drawings and effective communication to enhance project execution.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery or petrochemical construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy is adhered to.
• Develops understanding of system and area scoping.
• Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.

Skills

NACE CIP Level 2 or higher

Experience in specifying coatings

Experience with intumescent systems

Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications

Excellent communication and problem-solving ability

Education

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
