Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a seasoned Project Field Engineer to provide field engineering specialization, work planning, material management, and subcontract coordination for the Port Arthur LNG project.

You will lead safety, quality control, and technical inspections, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with Bechtel standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8–10 years of experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a field construction environment with codes and vendor procedures.
• Heavy industrial construction experience with LNG/oil/gas projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams and work under pressure in a collaborative setting.
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Bechtel tooling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead construction drawings, schedules and temporary facilities planning.
• Initiate field purchases and prepare quantity takeoffs of materials.
• Verify quantities using tracking systems and databases.
• Ensure zero-accident safety philosophy and quality control on site.
• Coordinate reviews of subcontracts and inspection/test plans.
• Develop understanding of system turnover and package scoping for Bechtel projects.
