Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Deputy Lead Survey Engineer to support the Project Lead Surveyor. You will oversee survey operations, verify control points, and ensure safety and quality across earthwork, concrete, structural steel, mechanical and piping fields.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 8–14 years of relevant experience, with expertise in Survey CAD, 3D Laser Scanning, and data management; relocation is available for national/international assignments.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and Bechtel’s safety program
• Experience with 3D Laser Scanning and Survey CAD
• Experience managing technical services subcontracts and subcontractor workforce

Responsibilities

• Provide support of the Project Lead Surveyor and act in their absence
• Oversee survey operations ensuring safety and quality
• Direct survey teams including control points verification
• Support safety, quality, and environmental programs
• Develop and manage survey data and CAD drawings
• Prepare As-Built records and project survey plans
