Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Superintendent to lead the field team on large, complex projects. You will own field strategy, safety, scheduling, and multi-trade coordination from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.

You will guide constructability reviews, drive site logistics, supervise field leadership, and ensure quality documentation. The role requires strong leadership and deep knowledge of MEP interfaces and sequencing.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Minimum 10 years of construction field leadership experience, preferably with a general contractor or complex trade contractor.
• Experience leading large, multi-trade, high-risk projects such as data centers, manufacturing or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of construction sequencing, schedules, site logistics, safety, quality and field productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall field strategy and daily jobsite operations, including staffing, logistics and productivity.
• Own field execution of the project schedule, including milestones and look-ahead plans.
• Lead jobsite safety planning, compliance and incident-prevention actions.
• Co‑ordinate multi-trade subcontractors, especially MEP, interfaces and turnover.
• Oversee field quality management and closeout documentation.
• Lead constructability reviews and field planning to resolve scope and sequencing risks.
• Develop and coach senior field staff and ensure accountability for safety and execution.
• Maintain complete field documentation and support commissioning, turnover and owner training.
