Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Orlando, FL is seeking a General Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a project up to $100M. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership on a daily basis and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of experience on $30–$100M commercial/industrial construction projects or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and subcontractors to meet the project schedule and quality.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding changes made in the field.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems and resolve issues.
• Obtains necessary permits and enforces safety compliance in the field.
• Leads safety programs and drives safety culture across project personnel.
