Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a skilled fields operations professional to support daily field activities and promote safe, efficient project execution in Pasadena, CA. You will help coordinate field teams, trade partners, and self-perform work, ensuring quality and timely delivery according to project plans.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in construction management or related field plus 5 years of field engineering or management experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification required within 6 months of hire; OSHA 30-Hour construction safety certification preferred; First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the management and development of a team of field operations individuals, fostering skill growth and ensuring quality performance under guidance.
• Supervises daily site activities and applies sound judgment in implementing quality control measures, resolving routine issues and supporting solutions to unique field challenges to ensure compliance with project plans and safety protocols.
• Manages coordination of delivery and allocation of materials and equipment to support uninterrupted workflow.
• Monitors accurate daily logs and progress reports to document project activities and issues.
• Communicates routine updates and concerns to project leadership, enabling timely resolution of challenges.
• Participates in or leads safety meetings and site inspections to reinforce a culture of accountability.
• Supports field teams, including self-perform, in addressing routine operational issues and escalates more complex matters as needed.
