Job summary

Flexential seeks a Field Solutions Engineer to drive Hybrid/Cloud and Managed Services opportunities, supporting the National Sales Team with CMS deals from discovery through closing. The role emphasizes complex cloud, storage, and database architectures and is capped with formal presentations to potential customers.

The candidate should be adept at translating technical requirements into business value, supporting retail colocation opportunities up to 500KW, and traveling for customer

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 8-15 years of experience in sales, consulting and/or sales engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to design & explain solutions to business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Attend qualified sales calls and customer meetings (travel may be required) to architect Cloud and Managed Services solutions including Colocation (Hybrid).
• Interact with customers in a consultative manner.
• Design solutions based on customer requirements focusing on functionality and performance.
• Provide technical drawings and designs of CMS Solutions with narratives to support business impact.
• Create complete CMS/Hybrid solution designs and present to potential customers.
• Capture data to formulate solutions and create quotes for clients.
• Provide regional datacenter tours when necessary.
• Support post-close implementations and information transfer.
