Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Remote Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot and commission LV/MV drive systems at customer sites across the U.S. You will lead on-site activities, develop installation procedures, and deliver customer training to ensure reliable operation of GE drive systems.

The role requires 5 years of field service experience, strong electrical engineering skills, and the ability to travel up to 85%. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Five years of progressive field services/commissioning experience.
• Experience with drive systems including LV/MV technologies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting of variable speed drives to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Lead commissioning and installation activities at customer sites, ensuring quality and safety.
• Provide on-site technical leadership and project management for timely customer delivery.
• Create commissioning and maintenance procedures, daily logs, and other required documentation.
• Train customers on drive operations and identify opportunities for upgrades and service.
