Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Senior Drive Systems Engineer to lead multi-discipline teams delivering Variable Speed Drive solutions for large industrial applications, including power semiconductor systems.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with project management, customers, and suppliers. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of MV/LV VSD experience, ability to obtain a secret clearance, and up to 20% travel (including international).

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years’ experience with MV and LV VSD technology including drive isolation transformers, AC and DC VSDs, and motors.

Responsibilities

• Leads a multi-discipline engineering team to deliver Variable Speed Drive solutions to customers.
• Provides or coordinates technical support to the Project Management team including internal and external technical presentations, change management, planning, and budget control
• Establishes strong inter-departmental and inter-company relationships to effectively achieve contract requirements including Project Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Testing, Field Service, Suppliers, other GEV entities, and third parties (such as regulatory bodies).
• Performs design reviews to ensure deliverables meet industry standards of safety, performance, and quality
• Mentors less experienced engineers by demonstrating, coaching, and sharing best practices
• Participates in and contributes to process improvement initiatives
