GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to support AC Substation systems across the US. The role covers pre‑commissioning, start‑up, and ongoing maintenance with hands‑on testing, safety leadership, and detailed reporting.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, read SLDs, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams while mentoring junior staff. Strong English skills and 5+ years of HV experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or technical school
• Minimum of 5 years field experience in electrical power systems
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of ACIS substation apparatus (Circuit Breakers, Disconnect Switches) and high‑voltage supervision

Aufgaben

• Commissioning & Start‑up: conduct pre‑commissioning tests and startup checks
• Lifecycle Maintenance: perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
• Troubleshooting: diagnose issues, perform RCA, implement fixes to restore operation
• Support: participate in 24/7 hotline on a rotating basis
• Read/interprete SLDs and installation procedures for proper execution
• On‑site safety leadership and LOTO compliance
• Document logs and write technical reports with timely updates
• Interface with customers and GE GSI teams for seamless operations
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members
