Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services LLC is seeking a senior Field Service Technician who will lead one or more compression jobs, operate compressor packages, and mentor junior staff. The role requires deep gas process knowledge, advanced troubleshooting, and reliable coordination with the Area Manager.

The position emphasizes safety, mentorship, and strong customer communication. Strong knowledge of Waukesha/Ariel/Cat equipment and field operations is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Kodiak’s SSE program with a minimum of 3 years in an intermediate Field Technician role.
• Deep knowledge in gas processes and compressor packages (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar).
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Beginner finance understanding and reading/understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures.
• Mentors and leads in the area; supports scheduling and mentoring processes.
• Troubleshoots complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Maintains equipment, safety, and records; ensures 98%+ mechanical availability.
• Cultivates customer relationships and communicates with Area Manager on staffing and budget.
• May backfill Area Manager when needed and provide 24/7 coverage.
