Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a fully proficient and senior level Field Technician responsible for one or more operational compression jobs with direct responsibility for the operation of compressor packages, gas processes, and rentals. The role includes mentoring peers, ensuring equipment availability, and adhering to Kodiak procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Kodiak's SSE program preferred; plus minimum 3 years in an intermediate level Field Technician role.
• Deep knowledge in gas processes and compression systems (5+ years total).
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Main competencies: teamwork, communication, analytical capability, mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, initiative, planning, problem solving, customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Direct, coordinate, and perform job activities aligned with Kodiak goals and procedures.
• Mentor and lead in area when needed.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
• Maintain 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Communicate with Area Manager and Supply Chain for budgeting and parts planning.
• Work overtime and on-call rotations as required.
