Job summary

Advanced Technology Services in the United States is seeking a Senior Field Service Maintenance Technician to perform expert break-fix and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment across customer sites.

The role requires travel, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, PLC experience, and the ability to document work and train junior staff. You will work with customers to optimize maintenance and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associate degree with technical focus and 10 years of related industry experience; or 12 years in the industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Extensive travel required (Local, National); applicants can live anywhere within the Continental U.S.
• Experience in condition based maintenance techniques, precision mechanical alignments, and maintenance of process equipment.
• Experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), field device troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical drive and motor systems.
• Personal discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert break-fix and preventative maintenance; diagnose root causes.
• Identify and source parts; evaluate cost and reliability improvements.
• Independently perform maintenance per industry standards; setup machining operations if needed.
• Collaborate with customer counterparts to optimize maintenance procedures.
• Document work in service reports and data systems; provide explanations of observations.
• Assist lower level technicians and lead project teams; participate in training.
• Troubleshoot complex control systems and resolve software/hardware issues.
• Observe trends and recommend performance improvements.
• Follow safety policies and identify unsafe conditions.
