Job summary

Advanced Technology Services, founded in 1985, specializes in industrial maintenance to keep factories running smoothly. The Field Service Maintenance Technician Senior performs expert level repair, preventative maintenance, and condition-based monitoring across complex equipment in the Continental U.S.

Travel is extensive. Candidates should have an associated technical degree or substantial industry experience, strong diagnostic and hands-on skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 12 years of experience in specific industry.
• Possesses comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Extensive travel required. (Local, National). Applicants can live anywhere within the Continental U.S
• Experience in condition based maintenance techniques, precision mechanical alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• Experience in programmable logic controllers, field device troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical drive and motor systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation to locate root causes.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary and evaluates alternatives to improve cost or reliability.
• Independently performs maintenance per industry standards and trains others.
• Works with customer counterparts to optimize maintenance, reliability, and preventative procedures.
• Setup and operate machining operations and welding tasks as needed.
• Document work in service reports and data systems; explain observations and equipment performance data.
• Provide assistance to lower level technicians and lead project teams; participate in training and development.
• Troubleshoot and analyze complex control systems to resolve software/hardware/configuration issues.
• Use advanced maintenance technologies to collect data and observe trends; make recommendations.
• Follow safety policies and identify unsafe behaviors; work in factory environments with potential hazards.
