Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking an experienced maintenance specialist to perform expert level maintenance, root-cause analysis, and parts sourcing to keep industrial equipment running reliably across locations. You will train junior staff, document performance data, and adhere to safety policies in a factory environment.

The role requires extensive travel within the continental U.S. and expertise with electrical, mechanical, and control systems, including PLCs and motor drives.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED, or an associate degree with a technical focus and 10 years in the industry; or 12 years of related experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; ability to analyze problems and craft repairs.
• Proficient in using basic hand tools and specialized tools as needed.
• Extensive travel required (Local, National) across Continental U.S.
• Experience with condition-based maintenance, precision mechanical alignments, and maintenance of process equipment.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers, field device troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical drive and motor systems.
• Demonstrates personal discipline and safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance to keep machinery running smoothly.
• Identify and source parts and repair items; evaluate alternatives to improve cost and reliability.
• Setup and operate machining operations and welding as needed.
• Document work in service reports and data logs; communicate observations and performance data.
• Train and mentor lower-level technicians and participate in project teams.
• Troubleshoot complex control systems and resolve software/hardware issues.
