Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc. seeks a field-based technician to travel to customer sites in the United States, install and commission equipment, and perform advanced troubleshooting on electro-mechanical systems.

You will program PLCs/HMI, read blueprints, and train customer staff while coordinating with engineering for complex installs. This role offers hands-on problem solving, travel, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School graduate or GED; preferred technical degree.
• 5–7 years supervising, installing, and maintaining material handling or industrial machinery with strong electrical/mechanical/PLC background.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment and interface with production lines.
• Perform commissioning, troubleshooting and acceptance protocols to spec.
• Program PLC/HMI with or without Engineering support.
• Supervise installation and training on-site as project lead.
• Train customer personnel on equipment functions and safety.
