Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform electro‑mechanical work, test, install and demonstrate BW Converting equipment while training customers on operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, wiring diagrams and manuals, performing routine and emergency service, and traveling to customer facilities up to 50% of the time. An Associate degree is required; a BS is preferred, with PLC knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology is required.
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, demonstrate and instruct customers on BW Converting equipment.
• Set up and operate machinery; train operators in procedures.
• Perform routine and emergency mechanical/electrical service; determine root cause.
