Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician to perform electrical and controls field service on envelope converting equipment. You will test, install, start up and demonstrate PLC/servo-controlled systems, and train customers on operation and maintenance at their facilities.

You will diagnose faults, interpret schematics, and implement fixes to minimize downtime. Travel up to 50% and collaborate with engineering for continuous improvements; safety, reports, and leadership

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field required.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 18 years old at time of hire.
• Ability to travel at least 50%.

Responsibilities

• Install envelope converting machines per drawings and specs.
• Test and startup equipment including PLC panels and servo drives.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on-site and remotely.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance.
• Prepare reports and maintain safety compliance.
