Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc., is seeking a Controls Engineer in the United States to support automated manufacturing projects. You will work with a team of industry experts on capital projects, from design to commissioning, across leading process industries.

You will develop automation solutions, program PLCs/HMI/SCADA, and manage project deliverables. The role requires a minimum of two years' experience and a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, with

Qualifications

Two years of direct experience as a controls engineer in an automated manufacturing environment.
Experience designing and implementing automation control systems (PLC/SCADA).
Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop automation solutions and participate in design, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
Design automation control systems and create project documentation and drawings.
Diagnose automation problems and interface with teams, clients and vendors.
Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Cimplicity, Wonderware, Ignition).
Manage project scope, schedule, and site start-up of integrated control systems.
