Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician/Engineer to perform electro-mechanical work in a computer-based environment, assisting engineers and training customers on BW Converting equipment.

You will install, start-up and demonstrate machinery at the customer site, while providing technical guidance. Essential duties include setup from drawings, troubleshooting, reporting findings, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• An Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is required.
• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Set up and operate machinery and train customers on operation procedures.
• Identify root causes of failures and provide corrective actions.
• Coordinate with installation team and perform audits at customer facilities.
• Submit reports detailing findings and recommended solutions.
• Promote safety and maintain orderly work areas and equipment.
