Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a Field Service Technician to test, install, start-up and demonstrate BW Converting equipment at customer sites. You will train customers on operation and maintenance while collaborating with engineers and a cross-functional team.

The role requires strong electro-mechanical skills, PLC knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 50% to support installations across the packaging and paper-converting industries. Safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; BS preferred.
• Strong mechanical/electrical skill set.
• Knowledge of paper/converting industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade machines per drawings, diagrams, manuals and specs to ensure proper operation.
• Set up machinery and train operators on setup and operating procedures.
• Perform routine and emergency mechanical/electrical service and determine root cause.
