Job summary

Enerflex is seeking a Sr. Field Service Technician to perform advanced maintenance, installation, and overhaul tasks on gas compression packages in field settings.

The role requires independent diagnosis of engine and compressor failures, leadership of technicians, and ability to manage on-site commissioning under varying conditions. Qualified applicants have a GED or higher with vocational training and hold CAT/Waukesha certifications listed, plus 10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• GED and advanced vocational/technical training required.
• 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Must hold CAT/ Waukesha certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Represent Enerflex professionally and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Submit accurate field service, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
• Coordinate and perform job activities aligned with project goals.
• Provide leadership and training to new and junior Field Technicians.
• Independently diagnose engine and compressor failures.
• Advise Supervisor on personnel and material needs for planning.
• Lead rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in the field.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and unit control panels at advanced level.
• Perform engine tuning to adjust performance and emissions for OEMs.
• Respond to recurring problems and emergencies independently.
• Lead installation, commissioning, and start-up with no supervision.
• Perform mechanical inspection with precision tools independently.
• Be available for call-out rotations for emergency repairs.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental rules at each location.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
