Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Atlanta, GA to execute service work, install and commission equipment, and perform maintenance and repairs for critical power systems.

You will troubleshoot on-site, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to safety and quality standards. The role requires strong communication, advanced MS Office and project management skills, and the ability to train and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Experience working with critical power equipment and field service environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform field service tasks and on-site troubleshooting within certified areas.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and retrofits.
• Support certification of Associate Field Service Technicians and Field Service Technicians; coach and train as needed.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment meeting quality standards.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships and communicate opportunities for additional sales.
• Follow safety protocols and report unsafe practices.
