Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician to support on-site service activities in Georgia. You will perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will coach technicians, prepare materials, and identify improvement opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction. The role requires electrical engineering knowledge or equivalent experience, strong communication, and project-management abilities.

Qualifications

• Requires degree and/or extensive field experience in servicing critical power equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels of organization.
• Proven ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines; project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify operational improvements.
• Perform field service tasks and on-site troubleshooting.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and retrofits.
• Coach and supervise technicians; assist training of team members.
• Prepare material lists and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend actions.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction and identify new sales opportunities.
• Follow safety and environmental protocols.
