Job summary

ABB is hiring for an experienced electrical power field service professional in the United States. You will perform field service tasks, installations, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades, while coaching technicians and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 6+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment.
• Or Associates Degree in electrical technology with 8+ years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment.
• Or HS diploma + 10+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvement and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, diagnose issues and troubleshoot on-site within certified areas.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and replacements.
• Coach technicians, supervise complex site activities, and train team members and customers.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts meeting quality standards.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Build positive relationships to support customer satisfaction and identify new sales opportunities.
• Suggest product/quality improvements and report safety incidents per guidelines.
