Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support clients in the West Chester, Ohio area. This role builds on Level I duties, adding advanced installation leadership, device configuration, FAT, system commissioning, and basic customer training.

The candidate will work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems, mentoring Level 1 installers and coordinating with project stakeholders. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.).
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience completing projects within scope.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid US Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer duties following our documentation to uphold installation/service standards.
• Demonstrate organizational skills in handling project/service tickets with timely updates.
• Lead and mentor Level 1 installers and foster growth.
• Coordinate with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers for seamless execution.
• Lead FAT testing and system commissioning before installation.
• Provide customer training at a basic operations level.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in leadership and communication.
