Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join our team in the West Chester, OH area, building on Level I responsibilities with leadership, advanced configuration, and client training to ensure successful installations and satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in construction trades, strong electrical and networking knowledge, and proven team leadership, handling FAT testing, system commissioning, and ongoing professional development across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a construction trade.
• Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience completing projects within scope.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid US Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities, following our documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational skills handling project and service tickets with prompt updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations and take accountability for tasks.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team to foster growth and productivity.
• Mentor Level 1 installers when leading a team and seek feedback for improvement.
• Maintain regular communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, access control, and video surveillance systems on diverse projects.
• Pursue leadership and communication development opportunities.
• Perform FAT of products before installation to ensure quality.
• Configure systems and commission them for reliable operation.
