Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician II to serve clients in the West Chester, Ohio area. You will advance from Level I duties, lead installation teams, and ensure high-quality system configuration, testing, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience completing projects within scope.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• Required 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have valid US Driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities, following our documentation to uphold standards.
• Demonstrate organizational skills in handling project and service tickets with prompt updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations; take accountability for tasks.
• Lead by delegating tasks within the team’s capabilities and foster collaboration.
• Mentor Level 1 installers when leading a team and seek feedback for improvement.
• Communicate with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers as needed.
• Showcase expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue leadership and communication development to enhance contribution.
• Perform FAT tests of products before installation and ensure quality.
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions.
• Willingly accept additional duties as needed
