Job summary

IDEAL Electric Company is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to perform service, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on very large, high‑power electric motors and generators during field visits both in the U.S. and abroad.

Reporting to the After Market Services Manager, you will solve complex technical challenges while strengthening customer relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years field experience with large rotating electrical equipment.
• Experience working with customers and vendors in a B2B environment.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Technical literacy with Microsoft Office 365, ERP systems and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Work safely alone or as part of a team and meet safety standards.
• Provide world-class customer service and support.
• Travel domestically and internationally for installations and service.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, and document work.
