S&C Electric Company is seeking a Field Service Representative to ensure smooth operations and support a diverse team. The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of substations and utility equipment, with travel up to 60% and occasional regional or out-of-region assignments.

The position requires reading mechanical and electrical drawings, strong mechanical skills, and comfort with documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical drawings.
• Ability to use basic computer tools and documentation.
• Willing to travel up to 60% of the time, including regional and occasional out-of-region trips.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, performing emergency repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Modifying and upgrading products.
• Providing startup assistance/installation supervision.
• Training on all S&C products of current and past vintages.
• Using hand tools and specialty tools on energized and de-energized equipment.
• Adhering to OSHA safety practices and PPE requirements.
