Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to perform on-site service, repair, and installation for hydraulics and related equipment at customer locations. This role includes diagnostics, technical analysis, and training for customers on system operation and maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree with several years of field experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to work effectively with customers and teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and five (5) or more years of related experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues.

Responsibilities

• On-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Install, diagnose, repair and support equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems, document findings, and decide on repairs or part replacements.
• Provide technical analysis of product implementations and enhancements per customer specs.
• Keep customers informed about service status and recommended upgrades or repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements in all work.
