Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site service, diagnostics, repair and installation for hydraulic systems and related equipment at customer sites. The role involves 24/7 on-call support as needed and close collaboration with customers to resolve issues.

The position requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience, with strong communication skills and safety-minded practices.

Qualifications

Technical degree required with 0–3 years of related experience.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to perform on-site maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including on-site repairs and upgrades.
Supports installation, diagnostics, repair and customer-site operation of equipment.
Diagnoses problems, documents findings, and decides on repair or parts replacement.
Provides technical analysis and recommendations for product implementations and upgrades.
Keeps customers informed about service status and addresses outstanding issues.
Adheres to detailed guidelines for moderately complex repairs and installations.
Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Delivers technical training and support to customers on system operation.
