Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Field Service Technician to perform on-site services for equipment and systems, including hydraulics, repairs, and upgrades, with regional responsibility. You will diagnose, repair, and install, while communicating with customers and ensuring service quality.

Under direct supervision, you will provide technical support and training, adhere to safety standards, and coordinate with customers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and zero to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including on-site emergency repairs, equipment servicing and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Responsible for installation, diagnostics, repair and support for equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems, assess extent, document findings, and decide to repair or replace parts.
• Conducts technical analysis of product implementations and modifications per customer specifications.
• Keeps customers informed on service status and recommends enhancements or repairs.
