Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Senior Field Service Technician to perform on-site service for customer equipment and systems, including hydraulics, component repair, welding, and installation with regional responsibility. The role covers repair, preventative maintenance and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.

Work with customers to diagnose problems, document findings, and recommend system enhancements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Technical degree and 5+ years of related experience.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues.

Responsibilities

Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including on-site emergency repairs and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
Responsible for installation, diagnostics, repair and support for equipment at customer sites.
Diagnose problems, assess extent, document findings, and decide on repair or part replacement.
Provide technical analysis of product implementations and enhancements per customer specs.
Keep customers informed on service status and suggest enhancements or repairs.
Lead small to moderate projects at customer sites when needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
