Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Senior Service Technician to provide on-site installation, maintenance, and technical support for packaging machinery across customer facilities. You will lead field service activities, perform audits, and deliver training to operators and maintenance teams while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mechanical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong safety awareness including OSHA guidelines.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80-85%.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Smurfit Westrock equipment in the field.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel on safe operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Lead on-site installations and equipment commissioning.
• Prepare and sign service reports and expense reports.
• Communicate with service management and customer contacts to coordinate visits.
• Mentor junior technicians.
