Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site installations, maintenance, audits, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery across the Pacific Northwest. The role includes leading installation efforts, electrical/mechanical support, and delivering comprehensive service reports.

The ideal candidate will have field service experience, strong mechanical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous field service work is required.
• Technical degree is a plus, but not required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong mechanical abilities are essential.
• Ability to follow strict safety guidelines is required.
• 70% travel with 30% in shop; willingness to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Smurfit WestRock Packaging Machinery at customer sites.
• Lead others in installation and servicing activities.
• Support equipment mechanically and electrically; troubleshoot issues.
• Produce accurate service, audit and expense reports.
• Train operators and junior technicians on procedures and safety.
• Coordinate with account managers, engineering, and regional service manager.
