Job summary

FM Industries is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide daily on-site support for customer equipment in Austin, Texas. This role ensures smooth operation, adherence to engineering designs, and high customer satisfaction by anticipating and meeting operational needs.

The candidate will deliver field service and technical product support, assist with component research and troubleshooting, perform installations, and coordinate spare parts.

Qualifications

• Requires 5-7 years experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of semiconductor process equipment.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering; associate degree or higher or equivalent work experience.
• Requires 5-7 years of client facing experience with strong problem solving and ability to work independently as needed.
• Extensive cleaner and assembly experience for Applied Materials.
• Strong writing and communication skills; team player with good people/relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, professional field service and technical product support to key customers.
• Support with component research, troubleshooting, repair, installation, preventive maintenance, and coordination of spare parts.
• Perform equipment installation based on manufacturing specifications.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing and engineering during onsite visits or via calls.
• Assist in writing, reviewing, and updating installation, operation, and maintenance manuals for systems in the customer install base.
