Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer in Austin, TX to install, diagnose, and repair advanced semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites. You will support uptime and performance, train customers, and collaborate with internal teams across domestic and international locations.

You will travel 25%–75% to install and service equipment, work either day or night shifts, and apply your expertise in electronics, mechanics, and software to keep customers operating at peak efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related field, or equivalent military training.
• 5+ years of field service or related experience supporting complex capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, perform preventive maintenance, and repair activities on complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software issues in customer environments.
• Provide technical support and training to customers while maintaining high satisfaction.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings to diagnose issues.
• Support upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document service actions and findings accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to resolve issues.
