Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Austin, TX area to perform on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of Lam’s semiconductor capital equipment. You will troubleshoot complex systems, diagnose issues, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Electronics/Engineering with 5+ years of experience (or a Master’s with 3+ years), travel flexibility (domestic and international), and proficiency with electrical/mechanical schematics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or equivalent.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services for Lam equipment at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate issues to component level; minimize downtime and interruptions.
