Prosum is seeking a Field Service Engineer with hands-on semiconductor equipment experience to join our client’s growing engineering team in Austin, TX. This role targets early-career engineers (2–5 years) eager to advance technical expertise through direct customer interaction, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Physics/Materials/Computer).
• 2–5 years of professional semiconductor equipment engineering experience (not technician level).
• Hands-on diagnostic tools experience (oscilloscopes, DMMs).
• Experience working in cleanroom environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for support/training.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades in cleanroom environments.
• Interface with customers to assess issues and deliver technical solutions; ensure high system uptime.
• Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve challenging technical issues.
• Provide documentation and service reports; contribute to product improvement initiatives.
