Job summary

Prosum in Austin, TX seeks an entry-level Field Service Engineer with hands-on semiconductor equipment experience to join our growing engineering team. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex systems, with direct customer interaction and opportunities to travel for training and support.

You will work with global engineering teams to ensure optimal performance of precision inspection and metrology equipment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering (Chemistry accepted if hands-on FSE).
Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and DVMs.
Experience in a cleanroom environment.
Familiarity with lasers, vacuum and optical systems.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for support and training.
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades in cleanroom environments.
Interface with customers to diagnose issues and provide technical solutions.
Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Provide service reports and feedback to management.
Participate in equipment evaluations, training, and product improvements.
